An introduction to Hypnotherapy and course details
Introduction
Hypnotherapy training at the East Yorkshire School of Hypnotherapy is conducted in a modern healing room overlooking the Sledmere Estate, witnessing the ever-changing colours of the fields with the seasons. Training is carried out over a series of four weekends, with ample opportunity for practical work. In the intervals between modules, students will be given course work to complete and Anne will be available to give any help or advice by telephone, e-mail or private tutorial. The diploma is awarded on the basis of satisfactory completion of course work.
About the tutor
Anne Rabbitts is a former NHS ward sister and Clinical Nurse Teacher. Shortly after qualifying as a Registered Mental Nurse in 1972, she became a ward sister and undertook advanced studies in anatomy and physiology, nursing skills and psychology, gaining the Diploma in Nursing (London) in 1978.Teacher training then followed, during which Anne gained a distinction in both theory and practice, becoming a Registered Clinical Nurse Teacher in 1980. Her work then involved preparing student and pupil nurses for state qualifications, teaching and examining across a broad syllabus, including mental and physical health problems, psychology and sociology.
Since leaving the health service in 1985, she opened and ran a residential home for the elderly for five years before becoming a complementary therapist. As a former clinical nurse teacher, it seemed a natural progression to pass her skills on to others and she opened the very successful Leeds School of Natural Therapies in 1992, seeing many of her students pass their exams with credits and distinctions. Changes in her personal life led to a move to the Yorkshire Wolds in 2001, where her new husband built her a dedicated healing studio and Therapies on the Wolds was born.
Having developed an interest in hypnotherapy during her nursing days, Anne decided to qualify as a Hypnotherapist and successfully completed a course with the Northern School of Hypnotherapy in 2004. She has found hypnosis to be an invaluable means of working one to one with people to help with a variety of problems, including smoking cessation, thumb-sucking, food craving ,travel phobias and past-life regression.
