Dear David,

I would like to thank you for the Reiki treatments you have given me over the past year. I would whole heartedly recommend you to anyone thinking of booking a Reiki treatment. You have shown great warmth, kindness, sensitivity and professionalism and I have benefitted so much from the treatments.

I first asked for a treatment at a time when my energy was extremely low and my body was depleted and run down. The fact that you arranged to do the treatment in my own home meant it was less stressful than having to get somewhere, especially as I was arranging childcare for my 4 year old son. Your bright, open and warm demeanour meant I instantly felt at ease. Something that struck me was that you did not need to ask lots of questions about what I needed from the treatment, you simply let the energy go to where it was needed. It helped to stop me from trying to analyse it and "fix myself". I felt I could trust you to know what would help me. My experience was of an amazing warmth. I felt calmer and a little more energy after the treatment.

A lovely thing happened in the month following my first treatment. After a long while of trying for another baby and having a miscarriage, I fell pregnant. I think the treatment must have helped to balance my body. I arranged another treatment at around 14 weeks of pregnancy. It helped me to relax and nourish my changing body and to cope with the fatigue and sickness. I felt a sense of not wanting the treatment to end, especially when the energy was flowing to the baby. It was a lovely moment of connection to the little one.

My first son arrived early at 36 weeks and I had a sense this one would too. I was pleased that I was able to benefit from a treatment in preparation for the birth. I had a lot of pain in my back and pelvis and had to lie on my side. I slept better after the treatment. It was only a few days later when I went into labour, again at 36 weeks. I was prepared and was lucky to have another natural birth, with no interventions and only paracetamol and a TENS machine for pain control. My gorgeous baby boy was healthy and a good weight. When he was about 4 weeks, I had another treatment with my new baby next to me. It was again a moment of connection and also a time of regaining my own body and space. I felt a lot of energy going to my body that had worked so hard in labour. I felt a deep sense of relaxing into the tiredness, turning towards it and allowing the treatment to take care of my needs. This allowed me to be available to my baby boy and my 4 year old, not to mention my husband and ill mum. I felt connected to an abundant source of energy, that is available to me, however much I give to others. At times I have felt depleted but the treatments have allowed me to look after myself, which in turn has meant I can be there for others.

If anyone is thinking about how Reiki can benefit them, I would say let go of expectations of how you think it should feel and trust that the treatment has the potential to heal and balance your body and your emotions. David is an extremely skilled professional practitioner, who shows respect and can be trusted.

It was total relaxation and definately beyond description. On my first session I felt like something was stretching my leg and foot on my bad side but WOW, very very relaxing, very good, very impressed.

I have had many Reiki treatments with David Lewis and during all of them I have felt a sense of incredible well being and peace. During one I was feeling “clogged up” and after the session felt a wonderful sense of lightness as if all my worries had gone. David is extremely intuitive and often uses crystals during sessions which seem to have an added effect. All the years I've known David he's impressed my family and myself with his grasp of Reiki/energy healing, what ever you want to call it. Always about to help shift a tormenting headache in the most soothing way imaginable, but beyond that he really helped me with a few bad aches and pains from some of my martial arts injuries, he's always very intuitive, which is always useful when you can't really describe whats bothering you. I don't understand it but he can make a very positive difference, and does make you wonder about how little we know about our surrounding, what lies beneath and beyond what we can see.

"I approached David for help with the back pain I had suffered for 2 years. Following the first Reiki session I became aware of a deep feeling of general well being and a reduction in stress levels. During the remaining sessions these feelings increased along with improved fluidity of movement in my back. This has enabled me to restart horse riding again without being restricted by pain.

As a result of my improvement, my daughter began having regular Reiki sessions with David during early diagnosis of Junior arthritis. The swelling in her knee and ankle joints caused discomfort when mobilizing along with the side effects of prescribed medication. "I have an elderly horse who noticeably slowed down at 26yrs for no apparent reason. The vet prescribed a "tonic" with a small improvement. However, I asked David if he could assess Carrie to try and improve her general well being. Carrie was relaxed and calm throughout the session and until David moved to her lower right front leg. This caused a definite reaction indicating a problem that was not obvious before. David felt this was suggestive of early arthritis which has since proved correct.
